She is named after the Chinese goddess of the sea who protects sailors and fishermen.
Mazu lives in fresh water, can live up to a year, and gets fed one drop of Jellyfish food (what is it? no clue) every 20 days. Yay Jelly!
**UPDATE**
She died a terrible death after two days. Apparently she was not bred for fresh water, and apparently table salt will not help jellyfish to breathe in emergency situations...
Did you get this at a pet shop? Will it grow larger, or is this it?? Mazu IS cute, and I don't even care for jellyfish. Good choice for a pet, Meredith.
